EN388:2016 (2X41D) indicates performance against mechanical risks: Level 2 Abrasion, X (not tested for coupe test), Level 4 Tear, Level 1 Puncture, and a Cut Resistance Level ‘D’ on the ISO 13997 (TDM) test. ANSI/ISEA 105 (A4) signifies a cut resistance capable of withstanding 1500-2199 grams of cutting force, making it suitable for medium cut hazards. The ‘D’ and ‘A4’ ratings are closely correlated.
